Paragraph: Focus: “here’s another one for today………… revenge of the 5th!”

When we text in real time we add characters and non standard words into our sentences to encode more info faster or to code in a non written feature, like paralinguistic, sound effects, or emotions. In my example the use of extended ellipses highlights the need for a pause, which in a spoken conversation would be used to create suspense or to allow thinking time. In this case its is used to prepare the listener/receiver for a punchline to a joke or some unexpected info. Because texting is real time like a conversation we try to add non standard language and punctuation to code them in when the standard language doesn’t provide enough characters to show them
